Romania in Own Eurovision Song Contest

Romania will participate in the Own Eurovision Song Contest 26. The Romanian entry will be selected through Selecția Națională 26.

The competition will take place at the The National Arena in Bucharest. The competition consists of four semifinals, a "second chance" round, and a final. A total of 32 competing entries were divided into four semifinals, with eight compositions in each. From each semifinal, the songs that earned first, second and third place will go directly to the final, while the songs that will place fourth and fifth proceede to the Second Chance semifinal. The bottom three songs in each semifinal will be eliminated from the competition.

The winners of the National Selection were Grasu XXL and AMI with their song "Déjà vu".

Format

Thirty-two songs will compete for a chance to represent Romania in the Own Eurovision Song Contest 26. All songs where draw in one of the four semi-finals. The shows were presented by Andrei Leonte and Andreea Bălan.

In the semifinals, the winners will be decided through a poll, where the three entries with the most votes will go directly to the final, while the fourth and fifth placed entries will compete for another chance to get to the final in the Second Chance round. Of the eight songs that qualified to the Second Chance round, only two will progress to the final to complete the line-up of 14 finalists.

At Own Eurovision Song Contest

Romania will participate in one of the three semi-finals. On January 19, 2014 it was announce that Romania was draw to perform in the second half of the first semi-final.

On January 20, 2014 it was revealed that "Déjà vu" it would be performed on the 14th spot.

On January 27, 2014 Romania qualified for the Grand Final. On January 29, 2014 Romania was draw to perform on spot number 08 in the Grand Final.
