Libya entered the Own Eurovision Song Contest for the first time at the Own Eurovision Song Contest 11 and managed to place second at the end of the edition. Libya has participated in the contest 3 times.
History of Libya in the Own Eurovision Song Contest
OESC #11
Libya announced on 17 September 2012 that they will debut at the Own Eurovision Song Contest 11. Nadia Ali will be the first representetive of the country with the song "Rapture". Libya, on first participation, manage to place second in the final and first in semifinal 1.
Unfortunately, Libya withdrew in the 12th edition in Andorra la Vella, Andorra.
OESC #15
After three editions missing, Libya confirmed participation in the OESC #15 edition. Armin van Buuren and Nadia Ali will represent the country with their song "Feels so good".
OESC #16 Withdrawal
Libya has decided to withdraw after poor result in the previous edition, since then they have never returned in the competition.
