Italy will participate in the Own Eurovision Song Contest 45. The entry is gonna be selected through a national selection.

Format

On 27/6/2016, RAI has announced that the country is going to select their entrant though Festival di Sanremo. Six songs are going to compete. The voting will represent 50% international jury and 50% televoting. The winner is going to represent Italy at Own Eurovision Song Contest 45
